His career spans senior leadership roles and hands-on advisory work at some of the most important decision points businesses face.
During his career, Martin has worked at Director and Partner level within leading accountancy practices, specialising in mergers & acquisitions and business advisory services.
This foundation provided deep exposure to complex transactions, owner-managed businesses, and strategic decision-making across a wide range of sectors.
Martin has served as Investment Director within a private equity firm, where he was responsible for identifying and executing bolt-on acquisitions for group subsidiaries.
He has also held non-executive director roles at both public company level, leading acquisition programmes and across numerous private companies.
In 2012, Martin founded Chapman Cole Advisory to provide senior, partner-led corporate finance advice to small to medium-sized enterprises and family businesses.
The firm was established to deliver clear thinking, hands-on involvement, and practical solutions, without unnecessary complexity or layers.
